For 75 years, Charles River employees have worked together to assist in the discovery, development and safe manufacture of new drug therapies.

This role shall report to the Biosafety & Cell Based Assay Supervisor and the main duties & responsibilities shall be to assist the Department Manager and/or the Scientist in the following:

  • Lead execution of routine cell-based potency assays
  • Support tech transfer, qualification and validation of new cell-based assays
  • Maintain and propagate antibiotic-free cell cultures
  • Evaluate mammalian cells / Generate and maintain cell banks
  • Establish Test Method SOPs and validate methods
  • Maintain cell cultures and evaluate cells microscopically
  • Provide technical training to team
  • Process test samples in LIMS and update SOPs
  • Assist in lab investigations and report progress to management
  • Assist in internal/regulatory audits and generate quality documents
  • Generate GMP-compliant SOPs, protocols and reports
  • Maintain data integrity and compliance

Requirements:

  • M.Sc. in relevant science discipline
  • 2+ years relevant GMP experience in pharma/medical device/CRO industry
  • Experience in aseptic cell culture techniques
  • Experience in in-vitro bioassays/potency assays preferred
  • Knowledge of EU/HPRA/FDA/ICH/USP/EP guidelines
