Post Summary The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies (SLLCS) welcomes applications from candidates with demonstrated excellence in Professional Services for the position of Postgraduate Administrator (EO). The successful candidate will join the School’s team of professional staff and will provide administrative support for an established suite of postgraduate programmes. They will play a fundamental part in implementing the School’s strategy, including supporting existing and newly founded programmes, developing improvements in the admissions cycle and implementing new and updated processes as part of College’s PG renewal project, ensuring efficient management and supports for the School’s postgraduate education and staff. The successful candidate must be willing and able to contribute to all aspects of administrative support as part of a large multidisciplinary School. This is an excellent multi-faceted opportunity for candidates with minimum 2 years’ experience in higher or further education management and administration, for someone with track record of relationship building and very strong organisational skills, a customer service ethos, and attention to detail. Post status: Permanent Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: The post is at Executive Officer salary scale [€30,252 - €48,082]. Appointments will be made in line with public pay policy and salary is non-negotiable. SLLCS is made up of the Departments of French, Germanic Studies, Hispanic Studies, Italian, Irish and Celtic Languages, Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Russian and Slavonic Studies, the Centre for European Studies, the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, the Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation, the Centre for Forced Migration Studies, and the HCI-funded Centre for Global Intercultural Communications. The School enjoys a very high international reputation in its teaching and research and attracts highly qualified and motivated students from Ireland and internationally. Since its inception, it has consistently been ranked in the top 100 Modern Languages Schools in the QS subject rankings. It is currently ranked 59th in the world in Modern Languages and 46th in Arts and Humanities.
