The Licensing Enforcement Inspector is a key frontline person in the monitoring and enforcement of the licences issued by Limerick City & County Council in accordance with Legislation and Bye Laws enacted within the City/County area. They will be responsible for licensing casual trading pitches within the designated Saturday Milk Market area and will also be responsible for issuing licences for specified special events with in the city and county, where casual trading may be permitted in proximity to an event, i.e., GAA matches, rugby matches, St Patrick’s Day festivities, Riverfest, music concerts, homecomings, etc. Additionally, the Licensing Enforcement Inspector will be responsible for the licensing and enforcement of Street Furniture Licences on the public footpath i.e., tables and chairs, wind screens, sandwich boards etc., or such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Salary Salary scale: €882.52 - €929.16 per week, inclusive of LSIs. Payment of increments is dependent on satisfactory performance. Annual Leave 25 days per annum (inclusive of Good Friday). Hours of Work 39 hours per week on a 5-day over 7-day basis. The exact working hours may vary according to work demands, but will involve a 5am to 3pm day on Saturdays to facilitate preparations for the Milk Market operating hours. Application Process
